Journalist Anil Gurung, who has completed a decade-long journey in journalism while representing and leading the voices of Indigenous Nationalities, has been honored by the 3rd National Indigenous Music & Film Awards 2025.Gurung was conferred this honor in recognition of his continuous efforts to raise the identity, voice, and rights of Indigenous Nationalities through journalism. Throughout his ten-year career, he has consistently prioritized Indigenous community issues, culture, art, language, and identity, bringing them to the forefront through his writing and reporting.

Expressing his happiness after receiving the award, Gurung stated that the recognition has further motivated him.
“This honor has given me confidence and inspiration, proving that we Indigenous Nationalities can also make meaningful contributions in the field of journalism,” he said.
The 3rd National Indigenous Music & Film Awards, the event organizer, has been honoring individuals who have made significant contributions to various fields within the Indigenous community. In the same spirit, Gurung was awarded after a high evaluation of his journalistic contributions.

Following the award ceremony, journalist Gurung expressed his gratitude to the organizing team and extended special thanks to the 3rd National Indigenous Music & Film Awards family, as well as the program coordinator and film director Umesh Gurung.
“This love, trust, and honor have inspired me to write more responsibly and continue advocating for Indigenous Nationalities in the days ahead,” he added.
